Active Faith
Faith is not Inactive
People often assume that faith means you just sit there and pray, just pray a bunch of empty words. Some think faith is about affirming what they want and magically God is obligated to give it to them. Somehow being a Christian means you can have instant solutions to everything, instant healing all the time, no poverty, no troubles. I wonder if these people, pastors who preach that ever read the Bible, really read it. God never promises that and neither does Jesus. What is promised is that our faith will get us through any trial and that the Princes and Principalities of darkness will not be able to shake our faith, or destroy our spirit, our soul. No way does being a Christian mean smooth sailing 24/7 forever and if that is what any pastor or such tells you, they lie. It's that simple, even to themselves. Faith will see you through the storm and I can attest to that, and help you find light in the dark, so much more. God will do things his way, in his time, and we have to be open to and accept that, so we may get an miracle healing etc... for ourselves, family, friends, co-workers, pastor, or not. God knows why he does what he does and we have to have faith that his decisions are for good in the grater scheme of things and trust that 100%, that is what true faith is at the end of the day.
We also have to look at whether we have any bitterness and such hindering God from answering our prayer, but that is another presentation, which I will be offering after the New Year.
Shalom and Amen.
