Come Let Us Sing Unto the Lord

Come Let Us Sing Unto the Lord

Come, let us sing unto the Lord,
New songs of praise with sweet accord;
For wonders great by Him are done;
His hand and arm have victory won,
His hand and arm have victory won.

The great salvation of our God
Is seen through all the earth abroad;
Before the heathen’s wondering sight,
He hath revealed His truth and right,
He hath revealed His truth and right.

           He called to mind His truth and grace
  In promise made to Israel’s race;
   And unto earth’s remotest bound,
Glad tidings of salvation sound,
Glad tidings of salvation sound.

All lands to God lift up your voice;
        Sing praise to Him, with shouts rejoice;
With voice of joy and loud acclaim,
Let all unite and praise His Name,
Let all unite and praise His Name.

Thoughts On Ukraine and Putin

No Resolution Readily In Sight

As we watch the news we hear about the standoff and the buildup of troops along the Ukraine Crimean border.  Diplomats hustle and bustle to try and find a solution, while the people on the ground basically just try to survive.  Is this anything new? Well, no. If you read the Bible, or even any text of history as far back as any written record exists, it really isn't.

I thought about the people's reaction to their corrupt president,  the interim government's response and Putin's response.  The Ukrainian people reacted with protest to the corruption, which they had every right to do, even if they had voted for him.  Still, when he turned out to be a corrupt S.O.B., they had a right to protest, but could they have perhaps sought major reforms?  They could have, had he agreed to go into business with the EU, but fear, distrust by the Ukrainians took hold and that made any hopes of anything other than what happened inevitable I think.  Once they had hold of the government and the power, what was their reaction? Not the wisest perhaps.  Eliminating Russian as the other official language when the Russian population there already felt as if they were treated like second or third class citizens was not the smartest political or diplomatic move.    Could they have handled things better, more diplomatically?  Perhaps.  Would the Russian population have been willing to negotiate reforms if made to feel like part of the fabric of Ukraine? Could very well be.  They weren't made to feel that they were part of the fabric of Ukraine and I think that is part of the problem, a big part of it, one that has not just now come on the scene.   One that will have to be addressed very wisely, very carefully.  The Baltic States have to integrate speakers of other languages, have to make all feel welcome and that all thwir citizens have a stake in that nation, all have input politically and otherwise.  They have to do this for the safety and unity of their nation.

What about Putin?  He's a bully, a big baby bully paranoid KGB..... and he longs to see the Empire revived.  He was going to respond to the opportunity given to him by the Russians of Ukraine to step in and "protect" what he sees as his assets, period.  This is not rocket science or that complicated.  The Russian people of Ukraine and the Crimea as far as Putin goes and Russian people all over the Baltic states, the Baltic states belong to Mother Russia, so any excuse he can use to go in and "protect" he will.  That's his mindset and the world has two choices: stand back be weak and let him re-buld the empire, or impose harsh sanctions from the get go, take the lumps that come with it, nip this thing in the bud pronto.

Shalom and Amen.

Standards Shouldn't Change, His Don't

As I sat sipping my tea, I was hit with one of my light bulb moments.  It had to with Christianity, Standards and I thought about the Hobby Lobby Case, all these cases, and the stupidity of the justices saying just pay the tax if any aspect of the ACA bothers you.

If we are going to be people of faith, truly of faith and if our government is going to honor the Bill of Rights, then we don't leave our faith at the door at any time, not when we go to work, when we go to govern, not at any time and all our decisions are shaped by that faith, holistically. I thought about when Jesus said that when they saw him they saw the Father, that the God is same yesterday, today and always, what that all meant.  I realized it had to do with the standards of righteousness, of what is holy, sacred in everyday living as per the Ten Commandments, as well as the non-dietary laws of the Old Testament as a guideline for how to steward and govern every aspect of a nation, household and relationship, even our finances.  The standards by which all this is governed are always to be God's standards, not human crap standards, but his.  Those standards, God's and his definition of sin do not change, can not change, so ours can not, must not change either.  Yes, we will be called bigoted, antiquated, and even narrow minded, but that's fine.  As a matter of fact, we should wear those as a medal of honor for Christ because they are a medal of honor.  I have realized that to be in, but not of the world, to be narrow morally and ethically, strive to be through the finished work of Christ at Calvary, and the Power of the Holy Spirit is a badge of honor and if anyone wants to ridicule that, bring it on, bring it on.  I welcome it.  Let the lost rebel idiots and morons whose souls are lost ridicule, and poke fun, go ahead.  As long as I know I am seeking God's standards and standing strong against all things not of God, not Biblical, then all is well in the world and in my world. That is what matter, standing strong against what is not of God, not Biblical, not scriptural, and standing strong in what is, even if it costs you friends, family, all you have in your life.

Shalom and Amen.

A Prayer about Nature and God's Creation

A Prayer about Nature and God's Creation

Loving Father and Creator of all we come to you today deeply grateful for your creation.
As we look around us we are amazed at the greatness and majesty of all that you have made.
Nature around us speaks of your greatness - the vast expanse of the sky, the mountains, trees, lakes and streams speak of your great design.
You have given us such beauty in the colors of the rainbow, the beauty of flowers and fields.
Words cannot adequately express the magnificence of all you have created.
We join in praise with the writer of the psalms when he says, 'O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.'
May we show our love and reverence to you, our Lord, by caring for all that you have created. We humbly give you praise and thanks.

While I am not a fanatic when it comes to the environment, I have to recognize that we have a mandate to care for the home God placed us to live in, which Christ will restore upon his final return, but until then, we still have a responsibility.  We have to provide jobs, develop industry so on and so forth, but we should also be in awe of nature, even if corrupted by the Fall to an extent.  In that awe we ought to figure out how to balance being kind to nature, preservation to an extent, while still developing natural resources to provide fuel, jobs so on and so forth.  We need to seek divine guidance, prayer, in conjunction with science.  It doesn't have to be one or the other, but can be a balance of very vigorous theology balanced by responsible science, technology.  One need not exclude the other, but they can compliment each other.  If they do a balance can be found to the benefit of nature and humanity, but if either is taken to extreme then both suffer.

Shalom and Amen.

Free Speech etc... VS Responsible Speech etc...

Free Also Means Responsibility

Freedom of express on an artistic, political and religious level are sacrosanct in order to keep everyone on their toes, including politicians, especially them, and those in leadership.  However, As anyone who has read my blog etc..., listened to some of my songs, read my poetry knows I am not politically correct, nor will I ever aim to be so.  Having said that, there are lines that should never be crossed in regards to these expressions in both words and actions unless it truly is in self defense or in defense of property and others who are in clear danger.  The Bill of Rights and the exercise thereof, though they must be preserved in general and broad terms, come with great responsibility.  I will defend the general right of the exercise thereof these amendments as given in the Constitution, general, not free for all.  What do I mean by that?

A student wearing a "Jesus is Savior" "God Bless America" "God Bless My Homeland, Country, Freedom, The Constitution, "Give me Liberty or Give me Death" T-shirt, a yamaka, turban, a cross, scapular, and such is free speech, responsible free speech.  However, someone wearing a T-shirt that has the Nazi symbol, with a picture of Hitler in his salute stance with heil underneath, or a KKK shirt that had a black man hanging from a noose is irresponsible speech and that needs to be addressed by the school, workplace because the association is one of mass murder in a way that in history has left enormous scars.  Same if one wore a t-shirt that mocked Jesus or any major figure of a religious faith.  Is that free speech? Yes.  Is it responsible speech? No.  Same goes for artists and politicians when they mock those of faith for being of faith, for mocking those of values different than theirs.  Can one call out sins of individuals within faith communities? Absolutely.  However to mock and slander etc... is irresponsible speech, and also to ask any faith group to change the core tenets of the faith, the main pillars, unless they severely harm a particular group, physically, is not Free Speech, but bullying.  There are certain pillars of the Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc... faiths, moral and theological pillars that can not be changed, as they are the core of that faith.  It is within the right of those groups to be incorrect politically, without being irresponsible, like the Westboro Baptist Church has been, to stand by those moral tenets of faith no matter what anyone or society says at all times.

Free Speech etc.. as given in the Bill of Rights does not give permission for anyone to be irresponsible with their speech, push for violence, but doesn't mean we have to be muzzled or politically correct either.

Shalom and Amen

Civil Rights Only A Black and LGBTIssue?

Not Just a Black or LGBT Issue

When Al Sharpton says Rand Paul can't talk about Civil Rights or a man can't talk or weigh in about abortion, stupid is rearing its' head big time.  It's like saying a non-Christian person can't say the word Christ engage in a discussion about the Bible, Israel, Abraham, a Non-Muslim can't research and discuss the Koran or that someone who hasn't been the victim of a crime can't discuss crime, crime and punishment, or pass laws in relation to crime.  That's all silly. Can a non-Christian understand the power of the Holy Spirit after fully accepting Christ, what that does in and to your life, or the Bible on the multiple spiritual levels that a person who has had that experience and has an ongoing relationship to Christ in the same way, and studied theology also?  No, of course not, but that doesn't mean we can't engage in discussion and debate.  That is true for all issues by all parties, even if we don't agree on all points, so long as we understand that we wont all agree on all aspects.  I can think the view point of the other person is idiotic, moronic, stupid and illogical, and that's fine, vice verse they can think the same about mine.  However, that doesn't mean we have to hate each other, stop each other's free speech or exercise thereof.

Whites and all people at some point were persecuted to some extent.   Granted here in the US it is not as dire as what others experienced in the past, though at the rate of hate towards Christians and the accommodations being made to non-Christian groups to the detriment of Christian groups on an ongoing basis it is feeling more and more that way.  Let's hope it doesn't get to where Bibles are confiscated along with our guns, our free speech and full exercise thereof as regards our faith and the right to bear arms are completely taken away.  Persecution can come in many forms and one form is if the government or any group is trying to force any person or group to violate their heart felt and core religious beliefs.  So long as there is no physical violence, murder and destruction of public property, then the full exercise of the Bill of Rights must not be interfered with by anyone and in regards to anyone clergy or otherwise.  When Sharpton determines that Civil Rights is only what happened to blacks, the is wrong, or that standing up for traditional marriage and such is a violation of Civil Rights he is wrong.  Civil Rights violations are anything that interferes with a person's or group's right to fully exercise their Bill of Rights in and outside the home, so long as there is not murder, violence or destruction of property involved.  If the LGBT or any group tries to tell me or my ministry, a Christian ministry what to do, what to believe, how to operate, what benefits to provide, what to support in society, what to advocate or not advocate for, they have violated my Civil Right and need to be smacked hard upside the head to get their non-functioning brains functioning, PERIOD.

If I or anyone wishes to talk about Civil Rights, we will and to me that means I have the right to call sin, sin, abomination, abomination so on and so forth, and so suck it up world, suck it up.  That is my Civil Right, as it is to pray for sinners, and share the Gospel with them.

Shalom and Amen

Timing, Patience, and Discernment, Hard Lessons

Truth Shall Set Free

Life is full of lessons.  Some we learn quickly and more easily than others, without much chaos and pain, which we, as well as God are grateful.  Others, well, seems we need to get out tukkus kicked because we just wont get it otherwise.

The sin nature says like a petulant child jumping up and down "now now now, must have it now.!!!  It must happen now now now!!!" We have no idea though whether it is the right time for that vision to be implemented, that dream, whether we are even, on any level mature enough to handle it, or if what we are pursuing might just land us in a lair of grave sin down the line if we pursue in our way, yet we insist on pursuing it when we insist on pursuing it and on our terms.  When I heart of Katy Perry and her satanic performance at the awards show, I wondered if she had any  idea she would end up with her soul sold to Satan down the line when she went into show business.  When God gave me a vision for ministry many years ago, it was a general vision, one that had not been refined and then there was another connected to it, also general.  I decided to jump the gun so to speak and did what I thought I was supposed to do rather than pray and ask crucial questions of the Lord.  That resulted in a lot of lost time, lost money, resources and getting nowhere because I assumed that since I had been given a general vision I was supposed to implement it right away and my way.  I realize now that just because I had been given a vision then a while after another general vision didn't mean I was supposed to implement them right away.  What should I have done?  I should have prayed and asked questions such as:  What preparation am I to make for this vision? What am I meant to do to get there? What resources will you be providing and how will I recognize them? What scriptures should I be looking at to help guide me? How do I use the resources given me for this purpose? Then I should have let myself be guided and implemented the steps over time to have the vision refined to get to where I am now and where ever else the Lord will take me with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Just because we get a vision, doesn't mean implementation now.  It could be three months or years of preparation or more before the vision is actually to be implemented.  The timing should always be on his dime, not ours, on his timeline, not ours for he does know best.

Timing, patience and discernment are hard lessons to learn, but crucial ones if one doesn't want to end up in chaos or even in the gutter.  That include who is guiding etc...

Shalom and Amen

Abandonment

People Abandon, But Not the Highest Heavens

When my dad walked out and then I found out he even denied to people having any kids, I can't tell you how that hurt.  The pain of a parent abandoning you is something that truly no amount of therapy or man made vanities will ever truly heal.

Trying to reconcile that one of the two people who is supposed to love and cherish you most has abandoned you, denied you even exist, can't be healed with affirmations, and counseling, not at any real and deep levels.   Up until recently I never realized how much that had hurt me, affected me and kept me in fear of life, of realizing my full potential.   Once I realized that, and really came to full realization of my faith, of how much I loved the Lord, the Message of the Cross, what he did to me, I had a great realization.  I was never alone, but I couldn't really see it, too clouded by my pain and the abandonment of my human father, not realizing I had a true Father, a Redeemer and also a comforter, as well as a host of angels who would never abandon me and keep me walking on a straight and right line.  As long as I seek them out, the Cross and what was accomplished there as my source of strength, wisdom etc..., I am never alone.  Human being may let me down, knock me down and everything in between, as they as well as I have a sin nature and at any time are oppressed and repressed by Satan.  The Trinity will always be with me even when people are not.  It has taken me a while to really have that sink in, a good long while.  A broken heart is no fun, can lead to depression and worse, but that shed blood at Calvary tells us we never have to be alone again. There are several passages about this in the Bible and so when you feel let down by people, abandoned, don't because you are never abandoned, alone etc... not really, unless you are not looking in the right place.

Bible Passages:

Joshua 1:9, Isaiah : 49:15-16, Psalm 27:14, 34:18, Deut 31:6, Heb 13:5-6, Rom 8:38-39, 2 Chr 7:14,  John 3:16-17 and Matt: 28:20 among others.

Know that you are never abandoned or alone, never.

Shalom and Amen

When Politically Correct Is Dangerous

The Dangers of Politically Correct

Political correctness has never been one of my strong points and I make no apologies for it.  I make none because politically correct means cow towing to the stupidity, false doctrines and sins of mankind more often than not.  There is another reason and that is that it's dangerous in the long run.

An article by Agustin Blazquez with the collaboration of Jaums Sutton discuss political correctness and how it came about.  The Institute for Social Research in Frankfurt, Germany, which was founded in 1923 and came to be known as the “Frankfurt School, wanted to find out why Communism wasn't spreading and they concluded it was because of the strong values of Western Civilization. They concluded that Western Civilization had to be put in a position to destroy itself from within.

How to do that? Undermine its foundations by chipping away at the rights of those annoying individuals.One way to do that? Change their speech and thought patterns by spreading the idea that vocalizing your beliefs is disrespectful to others and must be avoided to make up for past inequities and injustices. And call it something that sounds positive: “Political Correctness.” Inspired by the brand new communist technique, Mao, in the 1930s, wrote an article on the “correct” handling of contradictions among the people. “Sensitive training” – sound familiar? – and speech codes were born.  In 1935, after Hitler came to power, the Frankfurt School moved to New York City, where they continued their work by translating Marxism from economic to cultural terms using Sigmund Freud’s psychological conditioning mechanisms to get Americans to buy into Political Correctness. In 1941, they moved to California to spread their wings.

As I read about banning the word bossy, gender neutrality in raising kids, and a range of other frankly crap, including banning of flags or any wearing of flags in school, I see how dangerous this politically correct is getting.  The entire fabric of the church is coming apart due to political correctness, ecumenicalism and wanting so much to be loved by the world and part of the world that the truth of Gospel has been re-written, with even the rapture now denied, as well as the Trinity, along with New Age practices being incorporated into the church.  When you have the fabric of the main institution meant to teach biblical truth on marriage, on the one true path, one true God, one true Word of God, the Bible denying that sole responsibility, the rest of society goes that way as well.  What is the result? A mess, real and total mess with bullying everywhere, including the LGBT community bullying those of faith to try to force them to accept sin and abomination of actions, deeds and lifestyle.  You have the Muslim community wanting to impose sharia law in the courts, and the courts ignoring, including the Supreme Court as it did by declaring the ACA a tax, the Constitution.  With all this, and giving into atheists who are methodically seeking to destroy all visages of our heritage, the truth of it, the church and academia assisting, the USA and the world is headed right over a cliff to death.  Not just the USA, but Europe as well and as the West no longer has the moral fabric of God, Family and Country strong and solid, it is in a very weak position to be a gatekeeper of true Constitutional Democracy and Republicanism, so has become the laughing stock, along with the modern Church, which is anything but Biblical, or of God, or in Christ.  Political Correctness is a true tragedy.

Shalom and Amen.

Periodic Crashed, Fatigue etc..Angry at God?

Angry and Bitter At God?

As I tried to get out of bed, I knew I was in for another bad day, as last night, yesterday evening I had felt kind of lousy, with joint pain, upper and side abdominal pain. Didn't feel right, so I knew I was in for a bit of rough night.

Sure enough I was and when I woke up, I barely could stay awake and oriented to make breakfast at 10 am.  I had to go back to bed and was out cold, to where the ceiling could have fallen on me and I would have not been aware.  When I woke to finally be able to drag myself out of bed at around 2 pm to have lunch, my mouth had a bitter metallic taste and I still feel a off base.  These crashes and the gluten and dairy free diet, all that comes with Celiac, Fibromyalgia is heavy load and I could be angry and bitter if I added this to the pain that my parents very bitter divorce created for me, those scars and the baggage that came with that. That would serve no purpose, would only make me even more ill, create poisons in my body and it would be in grave error, as the only one at fault here are Satan and the first humans who listened to him and brought sin, corruption into the world.

Satan and the first humans are the ones I should be angry and bitter at anyone it would be them, but then if I waste my time with angry and bitter, I would not be spending my time writing, ministering, creating.  Being angry and bitter would be a true waste of time and would actually give into Satan and what he wants and that is not happening, so I praise God for the strength to sail past the obstacles and keep on doing my creative thing.  My health may have ups and downs, but that's okay, as the shed blood of Christ covers me and the Holy Spirit gives me the inspiration to create, and to minister, for which I am very grateful.

Shalom and Amen

Why Israel Matters, Must Be Protected

Israel Matters, Protect Her

First of all for Christians it is important because out of Israel, the child of Covenant Isaac, not the child of flesh and works, Ishmael, we were given the Messiah, Redeemer, Jesus Christ, so Israel is sacred for us and must be stood by through thick and thin.  Secondly, Israel is the only democratic republic in that region, under whom the area has flourished, something it has never done under the arabs, who only teach their people to kill, annihilate and destroy.  Third, Israel has achieved much and that should be recognized, celebrated in the world, in America.  What are they?

  • Israel has the highest ratio of university degrees to the population in the world.
  • Israel leads the world in the number of scientists and technicians in the workforce.
  • Israel produces more scientific papers per capita than any other nation by a large margin
  • In proportion to its population, Israel has the largest number of start-up companies in the world except the US
  • With more than 3,500+ high-tech companies and start-ups, Israel has the highestconcentration of hi-tech companies in the world -- apart from the Silicon Valley, US
  • On a per capita basis, Israel has the largest number of biotech start-ups.
  • Israel has the third highest rate of entrepreneurship -- and the highest rate among women and among people over 55 - in the world.
  • Israel is ranked #2 in the world for venture capital funds right behind the U.S.
  • Outside the United States and Canada , Israel has the largest number of NASDAQ listed companies.
  • As a nation that lives by western principles, women in Israel are government leaders, leading academics, artists and business managers, compared to the restrictions if not outright second class citizenship of women in most other Middle East countries.
  • All religions are totally free to practice in Israel, compared to the restrictions if not outright persecution of religions that are outside of Islam in the rest of the Middle East.
  • Israel has the highest percentage in the world of home computers per capita.
  • srael has produced 12 Nobel prize winners
  • Despite the global economic slowdown, exports by Intel Israel more than doubled to $4.6 billion in 2012 from $2.2 billion in 2011 and now accounts for a tenth of Israel's total industrial exports.
  • Did you know that Muslims sign up for Hebrew University on-line courses from all over the world. Around 40,000 students signed up for a 9-week on-line course“Synapses, Neurons and Brains” run by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
  • Fast Company magazine lists the ten most innovative Israeli companies, which includes SodaStream, as the 23rd most innovative company in the world. It employs arabs, gives them jobs.
  •  Chinese discovered the start- up nation Israel and started to invest billions of dollars in Israeli technology. Samsung’s only foreign R&D is in Israel.  From agro-tech, medical, chemicals, tourism, solar energy and education to the massive project to turn Eilat into an alternative to the Suez Canal.
  •  The Tamar Natural Gas Field recently discovered by US and Israeli based oil exploration companies is Worth $52 Billion to the future Israeli Economy and Provides Green Energy – Ernst and Young estimate.

    You can find more accomplishments than the ones I listen here on the website:  http://www.newjewishcongregation.org/israel_facts__contributions_to_world.aspx

What of those those who will claim that Israel is an apartheid state, but is it?

South African MP Rev. Dr. Kenneth Meshoe wrote in the San Francisco Examiner, “As a black South African who lived under apartheid, this system was implemented in South Africa to subjugate people of color and deny them a variety of their rights. In my view, Israel cannot be compared to apartheid in South Africa. Those who make the accusation expose their ignorance of what apartheid really is.” Meshoe made this statement upon visiting San Francisco, where he was shocked to learn of posters posted within the city comparing Israel to the apartheid regime in South Africa.
Meshoe has very strong arguments why Tutu and various anti-Israel groups wrongly compare the situation in Israel to the apartheid regime in South Africa.

He asserted, “As a black South African under apartheid, I, among other things, could not vote, nor could I freely travel the landscape of South Africa. No person of color could hold high government office. The races were strictly segregated at sports arenas, public restrooms, schools and on public transportation. People of color had inferior hospitals, medical care and education. If a white doctor was willing to take a black patient, he had to examine him or her in a back room or some other hidden place. In my numerous visits to Israel, I did not see any of the above.

Indeed, Meshoe pointed out that in Israel, racial equality is enshrined in Israeli law. As the Israeli Declaration of Independence proclaims, Israel will “ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irregardless of religion, race, or sex.” If one takes a train or bus in Israel, one will witness Muslims sitting next to Jews; Ethiopian Jews of color sitting next to Jews of European and Middle Eastern origin. On university campuses, in work places, and in restaurants, the same scene can be witnessed. No public bathroom in Israel is segregated by race or religion. Furthermore, there are Arabs serving as university professors, doctors, emergency room heads, soldiers, and even as Knesset members. Arabs in Israel have rights and privileges that ablack living under the apartheid regime in South Africa can only dream of.

Those who demonize Israel are wrong and are destroying a nation that contributes much to the world and society, has since Biblical times.  We must all speak up and make it clear that Israel is a nation, must be recognized as so, the land that God gave them, period.

Shalom and Amen.

Why I Don't Give to Charity or Political Groups Anymore

Change Only Through the Cross and The Holy Spirit

There are probably more NFP organizations charity and political, religious even than I could likely count in a lifetime.  Give to one and suddenly 10 are calling you, emailing, mailing you.  There is the government "war on poverty" that has not ended poverty by any means and it never will.

Non-profits, including churches that aim through social service programs, and 12-steps to cure people of their ills.  Yet they free no one, eliminate not the root cause of any of the ills of anyone or of society.  As for politics, well no amount of legislation can fix society because the sin nature and sin have taken over society and nations, so everything is topsy turvy, bad is seen as good and vice versa.  As I looked around me and remembered even just how different it was from when I was kid, and having come to a place of realizing that Paul's words are the entirety of the Bible in a nutshell in 1 Cor 1:17 and 2:2.  As I realized that and realized just how powerful that victory at Calvary was and that means is for the Holy Spirit to work in us to bring about transformation, to give comfort, courage and so much more, I realized that if I was going to support anything, it had to be the endeavors of those ministries that were true to solid conservative Sola Scriptura principles no matter what and preached exclusively the Message of the Cross, those who like the Apostles understood that the Church is not called to be a government entity, a social work agency or any such thing, but a Watchman, a Witness and as necessary a Prophet of warning.  While I am happy to pray for those in need, the best way to help is to support my media ministry Family Worship Center, as as Sonlife Broadcasting to bring the Message of the Cross that then opens up hearts and souls to the Holy Spirit to change them forever and they then change their communities, society etc..  My tithes, my offerings will go to sharing what can truly long term change society, the Gospel truth and solid conservative values taught in and through the Gospel, way of the Message of the Cross, which opens the door to the Holy Spirit to change people.  That in turn changes everything.  As far as giving to charities and political groups, no. First of all there are too many, and they have a nasty habit of if you give to one, that one shares your info with 10 others and suddenly you get phone calls from a number of groups asking for money and that to me is unacceptable, as it is an invasion of my privacy and I wont tolerate it.  Secondly as I've said, I do not believe charity or politics is the long term, long lasting answer to any problem, only the Message of the Cross, which opens the way for the Holy Spirit to transform a person's heart and soul.   I will give to spread the Message of the Cross worldwide and that will truly transform lives and societies in a holy and Godly way, a right way.

Shalom and Amen.

Why Music and the Arts Matter

Music, the Language of Heaven and Earth

Last night I was watching PBS and they were doing a special on Folk music and as a poet and songwriter myself, some of the songs I write can be put in that genre I suppose of Folk music.  Some of the songs, like Turn Turn Turn, Blowing in the Wind, and a few others brought tears to my eyes.  It brought something home ot me.

Music matters and it can move a generation, a nation and can teach truth in a way that nothing else can.  The arts make people think, shift emotions so on and so forth.  Maybe what we need to do as conservatives is do what they did in the sixties, what the liberals did, which is create our own music.  This music needs to counter the liberal messages, their erroneous messages, and needs to teach about the exceptionalism of America, it's great history of struggle and triumph of becoming a commonwealth and then a republic, of capitalism, and also the tragedy of how that was eroded, how the values that made us great were eroded.  Music and theatre are very powerful tools, which we as conservatives must make use of aggressively, and create our own outlets of distribution, use the Internet, and whatever means we can to get our message out there, especially the arts.  I am doing it as best I can with my songs, my poems, but I can't do it alone.  Up to now I have done rough recordings at home and put the songs out there, which have been licensed, several of them, including Faith and Freedom, Lifeblood of America.  However, one of my goals, once I have funds to do so, is to record an album of seven pieces, including that song that sends a message of conservative truths to all the world.  I also hope to write a book that shares the message and vision for what America was meant to be.  The President is not the only one with a pen and phone etc..., we the people also have pens, phones, as well as the Internet, and our voice, which we must never allow to be silenced by any politician or anyone for that matter.  If they don't like what we have to say, then they can pack their bags and go live with Mr. Tyrant KGP Putin or Crazy Korean leader.  As long as we have breath, We the People, the Patriots, must use the arts to speak truth, counter the liberal progressive message of marxism including Agenda 21 and Common Core.  This artist will do so for as long as she has breath and Christ will be with me every step of the way, as will the Holy Spirit as always inspiring every poem, song, book and blog post.

Shalom and Amen.

Justification A Poem

 This is the Cornerstone of the Christian Faith, for no Works, No Church, and No Sacrament will ever save you, only faith in Christ and what he did at Calvary, his finished work at the Cross, nothing else.  Anyone who tells differently is lying, plain and simple.

JUSTIFICATION

Justification by faith alone
The Pauline revelation,
Apart from works in sov’reign grace,
We have this great salvation;
Justified in God’s pure sight
Before His throne we’re sinless;
Just as though we had never sinned,
By Christ’s substitution guiltless.

So many think they are saved by works,
Though deeds of worthy merit,
And kept secure by holding on,
Thus robbing Holy Spirit
Of His marv’lous keeping pow’r
By which He preserves His own,
Through all of life’s vicissitudes,
Presents them faultless at His throne.

Justified not by what we do,
But by what we must believe,
Concerning death of Christ our Lord,
Who by faith we then receive;
The moment that faith takes hold,
And the precious blood’s applied,
The soul is washed from all its guilt,
With Christ the Lord is Crucified

Justification which is by faith
Imputes to us position,
By substitution through His death,
We are assured remission;
When Christ died we died with Him,
From tomb both rose together,
And now in Christ we have been raised
Saved forever and forever!
