Timing, Patience, and Discernment, Hard Lessons

Truth Shall Set Free

Life is full of lessons.  Some we learn quickly and more easily than others, without much chaos and pain, which we, as well as God are grateful.  Others, well, seems we need to get out tukkus kicked because we just wont get it otherwise.

The sin nature says like a petulant child jumping up and down "now now now, must have it now.!!!  It must happen now now now!!!" We have no idea though whether it is the right time for that vision to be implemented, that dream, whether we are even, on any level mature enough to handle it, or if what we are pursuing might just land us in a lair of grave sin down the line if we pursue in our way, yet we insist on pursuing it when we insist on pursuing it and on our terms.  When I heart of Katy Perry and her satanic performance at the awards show, I wondered if she had any  idea she would end up with her soul sold to Satan down the line when she went into show business.  When God gave me a vision for ministry many years ago, it was a general vision, one that had not been refined and then there was another connected to it, also general.  I decided to jump the gun so to speak and did what I thought I was supposed to do rather than pray and ask crucial questions of the Lord.  That resulted in a lot of lost time, lost money, resources and getting nowhere because I assumed that since I had been given a general vision I was supposed to implement it right away and my way.  I realize now that just because I had been given a vision then a while after another general vision didn't mean I was supposed to implement them right away.  What should I have done?  I should have prayed and asked questions such as:  What preparation am I to make for this vision? What am I meant to do to get there? What resources will you be providing and how will I recognize them? What scriptures should I be looking at to help guide me? How do I use the resources given me for this purpose? Then I should have let myself be guided and implemented the steps over time to have the vision refined to get to where I am now and where ever else the Lord will take me with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Just because we get a vision, doesn't mean implementation now.  It could be three months or years of preparation or more before the vision is actually to be implemented.  The timing should always be on his dime, not ours, on his timeline, not ours for he does know best.

Timing, patience and discernment are hard lessons to learn, but crucial ones if one doesn't want to end up in chaos or even in the gutter.  That include who is guiding etc...

Shalom and Amen
