Two Cultures -Saved and Unsaved, Which Are You?
When we think of culture, we think food, costumes, language and all that, which from a secular point of view is true. However, from Yahweh's point of view, not really. From his view, there are two cultures, saved and unsaved. The Bible bears this out from Genesis to Revelation.
In Genesis the moment humanity embraced a secular, humanist view over a holy sacred Yahweh view of things, all innocence, beauty, holiness so on and so forth was lost. In Exodus he had to take them out of Pagan Egypt, give them the ten commandments to make them a right people, had to take Noah out of the corrupt world of secularism, false Gods and the same with Abraham, so on and so forth. We can find the same in the modern world, where God had to take people out of the secular world, fallen and broken, to bring them to salvation and freedom, true freedom. This is why it is so frustrating to see the so called "church" today with all its' legalisms such as the Hebraic and Messianic movement, Seventh Day Adventists, and false unbiblical teachings of the Catholicism, Mormonism, Word of Faith and others, which lead people astray to false culture and Christianity.
Even the music and activities in the church impacts in my view whether a pastor and his church can, and has the right to call himself, itself Christian and I realize this will offend, but truth has to be called as I see it. There are things for example that have no business being in the same sentence, such as Christian Rap and Christian Rock. That's an abomination and has zero business being in or part of the Church, or any truly Christian, Godly ministry, as the spirit of Satan is behind that culture. Also, the Church is not primarily meant to be a sports arena, a night club, and entertainment hub and such, or have church leaders not read the Bible. It is to be a holy, sacred space where there is true teaching, worship of the Yahweh, in Christ, power and indwelling of the Holy Spirit, where the music is to reinforce Gospel truth, even if harsh at times, along with the message of redemption. Any pastor etc... that makes their ministry, Church and such primarily a place of cool, popularity, and such is not Christian, not of God, period. Love the Sinner, but Rebuke the Sin is a must for every truly Godly and Christian organization, no exception. The things of the world must not come into the Church.
Two culture, two worlds. As Ministers, Pastors and Christians who are advocating for Christ, we must be clear on what we are advocating and advocating for, allowing into our ministries and churches. Not only are our souls at play, but those we minister and witness to as well.
Shalom and Amen.
